Darah McDaniel
I am a native of Mountain Home, AR and have attended Harding University for the past four years where I am majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology. I will graduate in May of 2012 and have been accepted to optometry school. I have been working on NASA research projects at Harding University for the past three years. I have really enjoyed being a part of the NASA University Student Launch Initiative for two years as the payload specialist for the Harding Flying Bison USLI Rocket Team. I also helped build a diode laser spectrometer that is designed to search for signs of life on the surface of Mars. I recently visited California Institute of Technology with Dr. Wilson where we visited the laboratory of Dr. Paul Wennberg who is building a large heliostat.
