Payload Integration and Test Laboratory
Lead Investigator: Charles C. Kankelborg, Montana State University We propose to develop payload assembly and test capabilities in the Space Science and Engineering Laboratory (SSEL) at Montana State
University.
These capabilities will:
The project will develop facilities for payload assembly and high vacuum testing in a
contamination controlled environment. These capabilities will aid completion of an existing funded project, the MOSES rocket payload. These
capabilities are also critically important to future projects contemplated for the SSEL.
●Augment existing NASA funded
research in solar physics and EUV remote sensing;
●Enhance MSU/SSEL competitiveness for NASA, DoD and privately funded research in space technology and instrumentation.
