Diffraction Gratings provided by Richardson Gratings

Each NSSSC team will be given one (1) diffraction grating free of charge, courtesy of Richardson Gratings.  All gratings are aluminum coated on BK-7 glass, and measure 50mm x 50mm x 6mm. Teams may choose one of the following gratings based on their design requirements:

Model Number: 260-R
Groove Frequency: 600 grooves/mm
Blaze Wavelength: 500 nm (in Littrow)
Nominal Blaze Angle: 8.6 degrees

Model Number: 060-R
Groove Frequency: 1200 grooves/mm
Blaze Wavelength: 250 nm (in Littrow)
Nominal Blaze Angle: 8.6 degrees

Model Number: 290-R
Groove Frequency: 1800 grooves/mm
Blaze Wavelength: 500 nm (in Littrow)
Nominal Blaze Angle: 26.7 degrees
