📣 2026 NASA Glenn Faculty Fellowship Program Announced: Due April 20, 2026

The following grants are made possible by MSGC and Montana NASA EPSCoR (MNE).

Research Activation Grants

The goal of the Research Activation grant program is to help boost the likelihood of Montana small campus PIs proposing to higher-level research funding in areas that match scientific and technical problems of importance to NASA, and to involve students in the process.  Research Activation awards can be used for equipment, supplies, faculty time, and domestic collaboration travel (MSGC will support any students directly).

Faculty Fellowship Grants

The purpose of the Faculty Fellowships is to foster increased NASA-related research capabilities and activity on Montana campuses. We are particularly interested in increasing the number of faculty mentors who take on undergraduate student researchers at smaller Montana campuses. Fellowships are intended to give Montana faculty members time to participate in training or professional development. They can be used for faculty time and/or domestic travel.

Research Initiation Grants (MNE)

The goal of the Montana NASA EPSCoR Research Initiation grant program is to help boost the research programs of Montana higher education faculty research in areas that match scientific and technical problems of importance to NASA, enabling them to compete successfully for regular NASA funding. Research Initiation awards can be used for supplies, faculty time, domestic collaboration travel, and student support. Visit the Montana NASA EPSCoR page for information.
